DEFTONES Bassist To Read Poetry At Holland's CROSSING BORDER Festival
November 16, 2005According to a posting at DeftonesWorld.com, DEFTONES bassist Chi Cheng will read some of his poetry at this year's Crossing Border Festival on November 18 in The Hague, the Netherlands beginning at around 8:00 p.m.
Dubbed "the largest spoken/word festival in combination with music, literature and film in Europe," Crossing Border had previously featured appearances by Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA) and Lee Ronaldo (SONIC YOUTH)
As previously reported, DEFTONES have been confirmed as the headliners of the 2006 edition of the Taste of Chaos tour. The popular alternative metal act recently released their "B-Sides & Rarities" DVD+CD compilation which included the band's interpretations of JAWBOX, HELMET, THE SMITHS and DURAN DURAN, as well as various rarities.
The band are continuing to work on new material for their 2006 full-length which is expected in the spring. It will be their first since 2003's "Deftones".
